The SEO Manager will develop and execute SEO strategies that drive sustainable organic traffic growth to our client’s US website. This role will involve conducting thorough keyword research and optimization; executing content strategies; and implementing technical SEO improvements; among other areas. Collaboration with brand marketing teams and copywriters, as well as performance reporting and monitoring, are key aspects of this position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to drive organic traffic to the US website and maximize its online presence; achieve +30% YoY growth in organic traffic
- Conduct thorough keyword research using SEO tools to identify optimal target keywords and phrases for website content; achieve +30% YoY keyword SERP ranking and +20% keyword page 1 queries
- Collaborate with brand marketing teams and copywriters to produce keyword-rich blog and web content optimized for organic search visibility
- Optimize website content, meta data, tagging infrastructure, internal links, and URLs to maximize search engine crawlability and build website’s authority
- Execute link-building initiatives to drive qualified traffic from reputable sources
- Identify technical SEO issues and enhancement opportunities, and collaborate with web development team to implement solutions
- Explore innovative emerging SEO trends, automation opportunities, and technologies to further enhance our SEO efforts, such as Google AI Overviews
- Effectively manage our internal SEO agency partner to maximize SEO efforts, synthesizing optimization recommendations and scaling opportunities through monthly reporting
- Perform SEO audits, competitive analyses, and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in SERP rankings
- Opportunity for growth and scope expansion beyond SEO over time, including projects in digital product management, merchandising, and design/creative areas
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in an SEO-focused role with a proven track record of increasing organic traffic and improving search rankings
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking methods, and digital marketing trends
- Strong understanding of and interest in the US beauty search landscape
- Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize performance of SEO strategies to make data-driven decisions
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple SEO initiatives simultaneously
- Interest in AI tools and automation technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Basic understanding of website UX, HTML/CSS, Javascript, and link-building strategies
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with social media marketing and its impact on SEO
- Experience with SEO testing and experimentation
- Previous experience in the beauty industry
- Native proficiency in Spanish
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $44.48 to $49.43 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
