Freelance Opportunity – UX Writer
Location: Paris, France (3 days/week on-site, full-time engagement)
Sector: Pharmaceutical industry (btob / Btoc)
This is a chance to shape the language of digital tools used daily in production environments, directly supporting industrial teams in their work. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary innovation hub where content design is critical to usability and performance.
We are building a talent pool of freelance UX Writers to support a global pharmaceutical leader within its Manufacturing & Supply Accelerator in Lyon.
As a UX Writer, you will define the voice, tone, and clarity of internal digital tools used by production teams. Your words will guide operators through complex workflows, ensuring that interfaces are easy to use, consistent, and accessible. Working closely with designers, researchers, and product managers, you will make sure every piece of copy improves usability and supports operational performance.
Main responsibilities
- Plan and write clear, concise, and user-friendly copy for digital products (menus, labels, buttons, error messages, chatbots, tutorials).
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to provide content for wireframes and mockups, ensuring smooth integration of text and design.
- Translate complex processes into approachable, human-first language that supports operators on production sites.
- Establish and maintain a tone of voice and content guidelines across internal applications.
- Build and maintain a library of reference materials (style guides, standards, best practices).
- Partner with designers and researchers to collect user feedback, test content, and continuously improve.
- Proofread, edit, and ensure consistency of all content across platforms.
About you
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX writing for digital tools or enterprise applications.
- Skilled at turning complex workflows into simple, actionable instructions.
- Experience with content strategy: style guides, tone of voice, and governance.
- Strong collaboration skills with designers, researchers, and product managers.
- Comfortable using data and user feedback to optimize content.
- Experience in industrial or operational environments is a strong plus.
- Based in Lyon or willing to work on-site 3 days per week.
