Freelance Opportunity – CX Strategy Lead
Location: Lyon, France (3 days/week on-site, full-time engagement)
Sector: Pharmaceutical industry – Manufacturing & Supply

You’ll shape the CX vision for digital tools used daily in manufacturing environments, directly impacting the efficiency and satisfaction of operational teams. This mission offers the chance to lead CX at scale, in an innovation-driven hub where design and strategy are key to industrial transformation.

We are building a talent pool of freelance CX Strategy Leads to support a global pharmaceutical leader within its Manufacturing & Supply in Lyon.

As a CX Strategy Lead, you will define and drive the end-to-end human-centered experience strategy for digital solutions used by manufacturing teams. Your role is to ensure that people on production sites can work seamlessly across products and services, while aligning with product roadmaps, user needs, and technical frameworks.

This is a strategic leadership role, working closely with product teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to create scalable, user-centered solutions that directly impact industrial efficiency and performance.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the CX strategy and the north star vision across digital products, using research, insights, and measurement frameworks.
  • Ensure CX strategy milestones are met, anticipating risks and optimizing processes.
  • Develop, document, and communicate a shared vision of CX strategy, rollout, and operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of CX professionals and contractors, fostering continuous learning.
  • Represent CX strategy within product and service development, advocating for a user-first approach across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CX strategy into digital product lifecycles.
  • Inspire change and foster a user-centric culture across global business units and functions.

About you

  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize insights from both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proven success in CX strategy for complex digital products, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Experience conceptualizing data-heavy workflows and system interactions.
  • Mastery of Miro, Figjam, and other CX strategy tools for mapping and collaboration.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to align CX with value generation and business models.
  • Experience with Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, Lean UX, Agile and iterative approaches.
  • International mindset, comfortable working in a global and multicultural environment.
  • High EQ with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and bring diverse stakeholders along.
