We are looking for a Senior UX Designer for a 9-month engagement working in a hybrid role in Beaverton, OR, for our retail client.  You will generate new ways of thinking about how modern technologies can be used to craft innovative experiences and products. They will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group of designers, developers, product owners, and partners from concept through completion of digital prototypes that impact the future of how the client’s footwear and apparel are designed and made. Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a UX Designer. 

This role is responsible for leading design and contributing to the design and end-to-end UX process in an ambiguous and constantly evolving environment, with a focus on gathering directional insights from key stakeholders and end users to inform the digital creation process. This role contributes to the identification and strategy of new digital product creation opportunities and applies human-centered principles to the design, prototyping, and testing of experience concepts to demonstrate the desirability, viability, and feasibility of software solutions in an agile development environment.

We’re looking for a candidate who has a strong foundation in user-centered design and an innovator mindset to solve complex UX/UI problems for emerging product creation capabilities, as well as the ability to effectively articulate and demonstrate new ideas through persuasive communication and presentation. This role requires the ability to balance hands-on execution of deliverables with strategic and critical thinking, operating at both the micro and macro levels to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a well-rounded skillset for digital product design in an agile development environment, prototyping and user testing, with a combination of strategic, conceptual, and design skills to translate insights into actionable interface solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns experience design of product creation capabilities and processes and identifies user benefits that drive exploration of new concepts.
  • Responsible for defining user journeys and look-and-feel through a human-centered process, as well as designing experience prototypes for testing, validation, and iteration.
  • Defines and owns experience, vision, and strategy for product creation capabilities and innovation concepts.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define, design, and prototype unique and powerful software solutions for internal innovation teams.
  •  Execute and own design deliverables, including conceptual models, user journeys/flows, wireframes, interaction designs, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with development and other Innovation teams, and work to streamline workflows and processes in an agile development environment for team success.
  • Uncover new business opportunities through user research and insights- gathering and synthesizing insights to provide direction.
  • Facilitate meetings with all members of the team, conduct collaborative workshops, craft, and make persuasive presentations to drive and inform product requirements.
  •  Champion human-centered research best practices, including methods and measurement, throughout the organization.
  • Maintain consistent, rigorous, and actionable consumer advocacy to fuel an inclusive, equity-centered design culture.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $80.00 to $100.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
