We are looking for a Strategy Lead, partnering with executive leadership to shape the future of our retail client’s North American direct-to-consumer business. This is a 7-month engagement, and you’ll be working in a hybrid role in Beaverton, OR. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and executing long-term strategies, identifying key priorities, and driving impactful change across the organization. As a key strategic advisor, you will collaborate with senior leadership to analyze complex business challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive growth within the North America market. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, spearhead strategic planning processes, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic and iconic brand.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long-term growth plans for the North American direct-to-consumer business, collaborating with executive leadership to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to conduct rigorous market analysis, consumer research, and competitive intelligence, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.
- Author strategic plans and present findings to senior leadership, effectively communicating complex information and influencing decision-making.
- Oversee the strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and driving progress against key milestones.
- Develop frameworks and analytical models to evaluate new business opportunities and assess the potential impact of strategic initiatives.
- Monitor performance against strategic goals, identify areas for improvement, and recommend adjustments to optimize business outcomes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
- 5+ years of proven experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or investment banking
- Experience in consumer-facing industries, with a strong understanding of the retail marketplace and competitive landscape
- Proven ability to lead complex strategic projects, from problem analysis and information gathering to solution development and implementation
- Demonstrated success in leading and influencing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving shared goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience in apparel/footwear, retail, or merchandising
- Proficiency in business communication tools and visual storytelling techniques
- A passion for the sports and fitness industry
Compensation:
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49.00 to $55.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited t,o education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
