The Account Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning and implementation of advertising and communications campaigns. This role requires a balance between detailed involvement in campaign delivery and strategic oversight of how the wider account operates.
Working closely with marketing, creative, production, strategy, finance, and external partners at every stage of a project, the Account Director ensures that all teams effectively contribute to progressing the work from brief through to final delivery.
Role Requirements

- Strong campaign management skills, with proven experience in managing multiple projects end to end
- Ability to understand the strategic purpose of a project and how it supports overall brand growth
- Experience in through-the-line communications, with a solid grasp of managing integrated 360° campaigns across multiple media channels
- Ability to manage all deliverables typical of an integrated advertising and communications campaign
- Excellent relationship-building skills — fostering trust, collaboration, and team effectiveness
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present confidently to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail in the day-to-day running of the account
- Experience working in complex, fast-paced environments and managing multi-stakeholder marketing teams with varying levels of seniority
Desirable Experience

- Previous exposure to brand design, brand identity, or brand partnership projects
- Experience managing a specific brand or campaign pillar (e.g. CRM, trade) within a wider brand or campaign ecosystem, including liaison with leads across other pillars
- Background in customer communications
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Agree briefs with marketing to ensure agency alignment and involvement of the appropriate stakeholders from the outset
- Organise and facilitate internal briefing sessions, collaborating with strategy to develop internal briefs
- Partner with Creative Directors (CDs) and Executive Producers (EPs) to deliver high-quality, world-class creative work
- Coordinate with resource and production teams to plan and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Manage client communications regarding project progress, issue resolution, contact reports, status meetings, and expectation management
- Lead client presentations for creative work at all project stages, agreeing feedback and outlining next steps
- Oversee end-to-end campaign delivery — from initial brief through to final execution
- Maintain oversight of project progress in collaboration with Production and Creative teams, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and to brief
- Escalate key issues or blockers to the Senior Account Director (SAD) and Head of Business (HOB) as needed, facilitating their resolution with relevant internal and marketing stakeholders
- Ensure financial rigour across the account, supporting the SAD with monthly burn reports, budget tracking, and forecasting. Accurately monitor retainers, production budgets, and incoming briefs for SAD and HOB review
- Work with marketing teams to forward plan, maintaining up-to-date project schedules and communicating upcoming priorities, risks, or changes to internal stakeholders
- Lead relationships with external partners — including agencies, production companies, and studios — to ensure effective collaboration and delivery
