As the Workday Compensation Functional Lead, you’ll be the architect of their compensation strategies, ensuring that they are not only effective but also seamlessly integrated within their system. You will collaborate with HR, Compensation, IT, and business stakeholders to optimize the system, ensuring it aligns perfectly with their overall goals. Partnering with Aquent, you will:

  • Spearhead the design, configuration, and deployment of the Workday Compensation module, encompassing base pay, merit increases, bonuses, and advanced compensation plans.
  • Act as the bridge between business needs and system functionalities, translating requirements into system configurations that align with compensation policies and compliance standards.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by conducting thorough gap analyses, recommending system or process enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain the intricate workings of the Workday Compensation system, configuring and managing compensation templates, guidelines, eligibility rules, and security roles.
  • Take the lead on Workday Compensation projects, including implementations, enhancements, and integrations with payroll or other HR systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and external consultants, fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and the technical Workday team, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and communicate configuration decisions and implications to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Empower HR and Compensation teams by providing comprehensive training and support in the use of Workday Compensation tools.
  • Develop and execute meticulous test plans, scripts, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or modified configurations, ensuring system stability and accuracy.
  • Validate data accuracy and system functionality post-implementation, guaranteeing a smooth transition and optimal performance.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Workday Compensation-related issues, acting as a reliable resource for the organization.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring releases, assessing their impact on current configuration and business processes, and proactively adapting to changes.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular audits, validation routines, and proactive maintenance, safeguarding the accuracy and reliability of compensation data.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR systems, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on Workday Compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Workday Compensation implementations or major enhancements, showcasing your ability to manage complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of compensation structures, guidelines, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, enabling you to effectively address challenges and communicate solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Workday Pro certification or Partner Certification in Compensation.
