As a Copyright Coordinator, you will play a vital role in protecting and managing their extensive music catalog. This is your opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of their copyright administration process, ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of their valuable musical assets.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to work within a dynamic team responsible for administering owned and controlled music publishing catalogs. You will collaborate with various departments, including Business Affairs, Accounting, Finance, and A&R, to ensure the proper handling of rights agreements and documentation. Your meticulous attention to detail and understanding of copyright law will be essential in maintaining the integrity of their music catalog.
What You’ll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day publishing administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to secure necessary rights agreements and documentation.
  • Research and analyze agreements to ensure accurate setup and administration of works within the publishing royalty system.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects.

Must-Haves:

  • 1-2 years of music publishing experience
  • Foundational knowledge of music publishing administration
  • Familiarity with copyright protocol, performing/mechanical rights, intellectual property rights, and basic royalty accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Positive attitude and ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with film and television music cue sheets

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $27 to $30 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
