As a Music Publishing Coordinator with our client, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of music copyright administration, impacting how music is shared and enjoyed worldwide. In this exciting role, you will be immersed in the world of music publishing, working with a dynamic team to manage and protect valuable music catalogs. You will be a crucial link between creative, business, and legal teams, ensuring that copyright information is accurate, accessible, and up-to-date. Your expertise will contribute directly to the success of music releases, licensing agreements, and other critical business initiatives.
Your Impact:
- Administer and maintain music publishing catalogs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with internal teams to secure necessary rights agreements and documentation.
- Analyze complex agreements to ensure accurate setup and administration of musical works within the royalty system.
- Respond to copyright inquiries from internal and external partners, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Support the Copyright Administration and Accounting teams with critical royalty processes.
- Contribute to special projects that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the copyright administration team.
Must-Haves:
- 2+ years of music publishing experience
- Working knowledge of music publishing administration
- Basic understanding of music publishing systems
- Familiarity with copyright protocol, performing/mechanical rights, intellectual property rights, and basic royalty accounting procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong work ethic and detail-oriented approach
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with film and television music cue sheets
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $31.5 to $35 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
