Make a real impact on a leading financial services company as an Accessibility Specialist, ensuring digital content is inclusive and accessible to everyone. Partnering with Aquent, you’ll play a vital role in championing accessibility and fostering an inclusive digital experience. You will be responsible for remediating and tagging PDFs, ensuring they meet compliance standards. As an Accessibility Specialist, you will:
- Remediate and tag complex PDF layouts, ensuring compliance with WCAG and PDF/UA standards.
- Utilize accessibility features within platforms like Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, Excel, and InDesign.
- Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing, using tools like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver, and checking for color contrast, reading order, and other key elements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve accessibility issues independently.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and project managers to ensure accessible document creation.
- Document remediation work, track progress, manage files, and interpret audit results.
- Educate and train content creators on accessibility best practices.
- Manage multiple remediation tasks across different teams simultaneously.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of WCAG and PDF/UA standards.
- Experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
- Proven ability to remediate and tag complex PDFs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.99 to $53.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
