This is a US-Based remote position that will start as a 10 month engagement that can be extended up to 18 months

You will be a key player in ensuring parity between sovereign and commercial cloud environments, focusing on data, reporting, and release management. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be immersed in designing, implementing, and supporting critical applications, focusing on data-driven solutions for sovereign cloud projects. Your expertise in Power BI, Kusto, and Azure DevOps will be essential in building dashboards, reports, and data pipelines that drive key decisions and ensure seamless release management. Collaborate with stakeholders, translate business needs into technical solutions, and contribute to the success of high-impact government cloud initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models, leveraging data from Kusto and CosmosDB.
- Create reports and data pipelines for parity management between sovereign and commercial cloud platforms.
- Design and implement release management reporting using data from Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of applications.
- Work with business units to align technology solutions with business strategies.
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses.
Must-Haves:
- 5-7 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
- 5-7 years of experience with Power BI, including semantic models, applications, workspaces, dashboards, and reports.
- 5-7 years of experience with Kusto (KQL), CosmosDB, and SQL.
- 5-7 years of experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions
- Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to solve technical problems/ processes and understand complex details
- Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions
- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with government cloud projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to deliver on commitments and meet deadlines.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $46 to $51 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
