The SAP S/4HANA PaPM Consultant will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of our SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) solution within the context of an SAP S/4HANA environment. This role will involve working closely with finance, controlling, and business intelligence teams to develop sophisticated cost allocation models, profitability analyses, and performance reports that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or participate in the full lifecycle implementation of SAP PaPM solutions, including requirements gathering, data modeling, function design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to understand their profitability and performance reporting needs.
- Design and implement complex allocation models, transfer pricing rules, and cost center/profit center accounting within PaPM.
- Configure and optimize PaPM functions such as allocations, calculations, derivations, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain data flows from various sources (specifically SAP S/4HANA) into PaPM.
- Create reports, dashboards, and analytical views within PaPM or integrated reporting tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI).
- Provide training and support to end-users on PaPM functionalities and reporting capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PaPM-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and system performance.
- Stay abreast of new features and functionalities in SAP PaPM and recommend their adoption.
- Ensure optimal integration between PaPM and the underlying S/4HANA system for data extraction and master data synchronization.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP PaPM implementations and support.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting (FI), controlling (CO), cost accounting, and profitability analysis concepts.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex allocation models and performance reporting.
- Deep familiarity with SAP S/4HANA finance modules (FI/CO) and underlying data structures is essential for this role.
- Experience with data integration concepts and tools for bringing data from S/4HANA into PaPM.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data modeling skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to technical teams and technical concepts to finance teams.
