Collaborate with a passionate team to define the core value of digital products and ensure every client interaction, from promotional to transactional, resonates with purpose and clarity. Your expertise will bridge the gap between product functionality and client needs, creating seamless and engaging digital experiences.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week in the Toronto office, 2 days per week remote.
Responsibilities:
- Develop content strategies that address client needs and enhance understanding within digital products.
- Lead collaborative design activities and ideation sessions, fostering a shared vision among team members.
- Clearly articulate the rationale behind content strategies, providing expert guidance to product teams.
- Champion content design standards, tools, and processes, ensuring consistency and quality across the organization.
- Advocate for client needs, representing their interests in product design discussions and ensuring content aligns with user expectations.
- Craft compelling, client-focused content, including labels, explanatory text, metadata, and support materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape non-textual content, such as iconography, graphics, and imagery.
- Apply Inclusive Design principles to content creation, ensuring accessibility for all users.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure content adheres to regulatory requirements.
- Meticulously manage content documentation and sharing throughout its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with researchers to define research objectives and test content effectiveness.
- Conduct competitive content audits and research to inform design and business goals.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education, ideally a university degree or college diploma
- Minimum of 4 years of writing experience in a creative agency or in-house creative team
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent English proficiency
- Portfolio showcasing relevant copywriting work
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- French language proficiency
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and implementation methods
- Understanding of design and technology trends
The target hiring compensation range for this role is C$48 to C$54 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
