Our client is looking for a communications contractor to support its Business Engineering Communications team. The successful candidate has experience in developing and executing high-profile communication initiatives and product launches. A candidate who brings knowledge of the advertising industry or business media is preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to develop strategies and own day-to-day execution for global public relations programs related to monetization products and programs. The position is based at one of our client’s office locations in San Francisco or New York.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Devise and execute communications strategies and creative “always on” storytelling programming to support our client’s strategic objectives linked to clear goals and metrics.
  • Tell amazing stories about our products and their impact on businesses of all sizes.
  • Develop communications plans for product launches and key moments across the company that speak to our target technology, business and financial audiences.
  • Write content such as social posts, blogs, pitches, and other creative materials that evangelize various announcements and milestones.
  • Work with teams across the company including social, marketing, product, research, and legal.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with press, influencers and other external stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in business communications, digital and/or product communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English or related field
  • Experience in program and project management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passionate about the advertising industry and its impact on businesses of all sizes.
  • Proven success executing impactful, creative communications and social programs
  • Experience in financial, business and/or advertising PR
  • Collaborate across multiple functions including engineering, product, marketing, and more on communications plans

Must-Have Skills

  • Media relations, how to deal with reporters
  • Strategic and creative/ social media and content creations
  • Big project end to end / help see from start to completion

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in Advertising, Finance, or Business: A background in these areas can
  • provide a strong foundation for understanding business operations and marketing strategies.
  • Experience Working with Senior Executives: Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior leaders, which can be beneficial for navigating complex organizational structures and securing support for initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge and Communications: Strong understanding of the products and their features, as well as the ability to communicate effectively about them, can be important for marketing, sales, and customer support roles.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $78.15 to $86.84 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
