Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled contract Product Design Prototyper. The ideal candidate will have experience in Unity and C# development, with a focus on building experiential prototypes for AR/VR headsets.
The main function of a Prototyper is to research, design, and create prototypes in required area including augmented and virtual reality. A typical prototyper is responsible for building and enhansing prototyping platforms in partnership with other prototypers and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explore different input capabilities for AR glasses using Unity and C#
- Develop high quality prototypes to explore various types of input and interactions
- Collaborate across multiple teams to inform hardware, API, and experiential requirements
- Provide guidance to other teams to ensure best practices and coherence of interactions
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Unity and C# development
- Strong understanding of linear algebra
- Portfolio showcasing experiences developed for AR/VR platforms
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills:
- Experience with real-time 3D development
- Programming experience in one or more languages (C#, C/C++, Python, Java)
- Experience with AR/VR and game development
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability are required.
- Ability to visualize in 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design.
- Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images.
- Proven problem solving experience and experience overcoming challenges
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience required
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $79.85 to $88.73 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
