What you’ll do:
- Act as a Scrum Master for two new Agile teams simultaneously
- Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the team by encouraging them to adopt and mature their practices within the Scrum framework.
- Cultivate an environment whereby the team is motivated, cross-functional, self-organizing and self-sufficient.
- Coach individuals within the team to be more effective by guiding them to take responsibility for what they can control and teaching them tools, and techniques that enable them to resolve problems on their own.
- Organize and facilitate effective Scrum activities and events: backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
- Coach your teams and stakeholders to routinely inspect and adapt the progress of the product towards the Product Goal
- Coach your teams to inspect and adapt how they work to increase the product’s quality and the team’s effectiveness.
- Coach the team and organization to gain the necessary transparency to: -make data-driven decisions. -reduce decision latency. -streamline the work required by teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Mentor the team to create small, valuable, usable product Increments that meet the organizations Definition of Done.
- Assist the team in establishing a consistent and predictable team-level cadence (predictable velocity).
- Identify and facilitate the removal of team impediments and escalate as appropriate.
- Work with and coach Product Owners to develop, manage, and continuously update the product backlog using techniques such as: -User story mapping -Affinity estimation -Example mapping -Behavior driven development
- In partnership with the Product Owner, track and communicate information such as product development progress, impediment removal status, cross-team dependencies, team successes, etc with partners.
- Work with Scrum Master peers and leadership to share learnings and improve the organizations Implementation of Scrum.
- Organize and lead scrum teams and stakeholders through PI Planning meetings.
- In coordination with Project Managers, facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration when projects require It.
- Assist Product Owners and Project Managers with planning and refinement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Certified Scrum Master certification
- Experience in a Scaled team environment
- Hands on experience gained through at least 3-5 years in a Scrum Master role.
- 5 years’ experience in a software development role in the financial services industry, preferably Involving cross-team dependencies.
- Strong understanding of Trade Life Cycle, trade workflows of Equity/ETF, Fixed Income and Mutual Funds. Strong understanding of Wealth Management.
Technical/Vendor Product skills:
- Windows Operating System Environment
- Microsoft Office Products
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Planview and Rally a plus

- Ability to work independently, and also collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leaders.
- Ability work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies.
- Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environment.
- Talent to communicate well with your teams, both verbally and written
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $56 to $63 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
