Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a custom rendering tool/plugin for After Effects.
  • Implement features that enhance rendering performance, asset generation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify bottlenecks and propose automation solutions for Photoshop.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that integrates seamlessly with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Conduct testing and debugging to ensure reliability and stability of tools across different environments.
  • Stay updated with Adobe’s scripting APIs and SDKs to explore new possibilities for tool development.
  • Provide support to the team for tool usage, including training and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • Adobe After Effects and Photoshop automations (JavaScript, external JSX/JSON file creation to store values used in Photoshop Automations)
  • Terminal/Bash, Swift for macOS folder and file name generations and shuttling
  • AVFoundation: Swift Compression for color profile, file size, and poster frame (if not generated out of After Effects)
  • SwiftUI, XCode, Github
  • Languages: JavaScript, Swift, Python, Objective-C

Preferred Skills:

  • FFmpeg – Flags, Transcoding, Render Target Size, Automation Integration
  • Knowledge of sciptUI panel

Education:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.04 to $65.60 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
