The main function of a business evangelist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business evangelist usually reports to a project manager or director.

This role will allow you the opportunity to directly shape the perceptions and paths top accounts will take in their Digital and AI Transformations in the years to come through delivery of hundreds of engagements with customers from across the world.
Key projects
- This contractor should be an exceptional speaker and storyteller that presents with passion and excitement. They’ll likely present with a focus on AI, digital transformation, modern hybrid/remote work, and more.
- As new tech becomes available this contractor will need to learn this new tech to give presentations. If a new AI tool comes out, this contractor and the rest of the team will work with product marketing, commercial solution areas, CELA, and various other teams to fill knowledge gaps and practice delivering presentations.
- This contractor will not write or script presentations/stories themselves, they will be given scripts to present. They will need to do research on our tech (using lots of internal resources).
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm –
- On average 80% is spent presenting to customers or preparing for meetings with customers. Largely prebriefs, meeting with customers, or following up afterward. Remaining 20% is spent learning, updating their knowledge with new info on new or old products.
Responsibilities:
- Inspire and instill confidence in customer audiences by facilitating a wide range of solution area capability demos, industry demos, and customer success demos.
- Deliver demos in person at our Experience Center EMEA.
- Lead documentation and prepare/write scripts for assigned demos and experiences; package up materials including scripts, training videos, and other documentation for consumption by other CET facilities around the world.
- Share expertise to evangelize highly complex customer engagement delivery programs to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy in.
- Manage the deployment of new technology experiences/demos in the Center in conjunction with the Immersive Experiences lead, and the general operation and performance of demos and experiences, in partnership with the global technology operations team.
- Act as a subject matter expert in customer delivery, provide insight and perspective to CET partners in Redmond, as well as the global community of Envisioning Specialists in Redmond, Silicon Valley and Singapore.
- Partner with our Innovation Hub Technical Architects on learning new technologies and unlock activities for getting customers to the “next-best action” .
- Identify trends, business needs, challenges, and feedback from customer engagements; provide feedback on existing experiences and ongoing ideas for potential new experiences to be developed.
- Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
- Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
- Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
- Set up project and work breakdown structures.
- Establish and document business processes.
- Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
- Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Previous experience with computer applications; Enterprise Application experience a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
- 8-10 years experience required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Business or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in enterprise sales, marketing, and/or business development, including experience engaging directly with customers and account teams; or the equivalent experience.
- Experience presenting to large (20+ people) audiences and/or internal/external senior executives.
- Experience creating scripts, key talking points, and other documentation to support demo or experience delivery.
- Experience delivering solution and product demos to customers.
- A natural storyteller with exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
- A L150 – L200 depth of subject matter expertise (or ability to learn and ramp quickly) in Data & AI, Apps & Infra, Modern Workplace and Business Applications, from a prior sales, marketing or engineering role related to these areas.
- Must have conversational depth of subject matter expertise in IT, Cloud, and Software business trends, including impact of digital transformation on our company’s priority industry verticals (Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent deliverables, and to move fluidly from project work to presenting in front of customers across multiple engagements per day and week.
- Outstanding cross-team collaboration skills, as part of a small team which will need to work closely supporting one another for mutual success.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $46.24 to $51.38 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
