We are in search of a Merchandising Specialist | Consumer Insights to join our client’s team in Portland. The role will focus on consumer insights, assortment planning, go-to-market strategy, and product management activities. As a key player, you will ensure that product lines meet the needs of the consumer and align with upcoming market trends while supporting the retail strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Consumer Right Assortments for assigned category and location.
  • Brief the product engine on consumer needs, upcoming trends, and category/geography requirements.
  • Collaborate across product engines to ensure products are created with the retail end in mind.
  • Edit product lines for assigned location and category, utilizing both directed assortment and global core product to meet revenue targets.
  • Develop directed assortments that align with the category vision, working with geographies and retail needs in mind.
  • Conduct analysis to support key business management areas.
  • Own global sample management and orders throughout the Consumer Code process.
  • Maintain relationships between geographies and cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze seasonal bookings and sell-through performance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Global Merchandising.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally to ensure system integrity and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, go-getter attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and pay attention to detail.
  • Team player with in-depth knowledge of consumer marketing.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35 to $45 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
