Aquent Studios is looking for a UI Designer for one of our top client’s Design Systems teams. The UI Designer will be a pivotal part of the Design Systems team, dedicated to improvements of the Design Systems catalog that the client offers to its internal partners. 

In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our innovative products and services. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to shape the user experience and ensure our products meet the highest standards of usability and design excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design user-centered interfaces for web, mobile, and desktop applications, ensuring a consistent and cohesive brand experience across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to understand user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design cycles to continuously improve the user experience.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and design specifications to communicate design concepts and solutions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across our product portfolio.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, and advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI design for digital products and services.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design processes, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of design principles and patterns.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and mobile design best practices.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a drive for continuous learning and growth.

Compensation range: $60 – $65 hrly (DOE)

The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
