Our client, a major Travel giant, looking for a motivated UX Designer to help envision and deliver delightful partner and traveler experiences. The work is on a global scale for multiple brands, across devices and platforms, in a diverse and collaborative environment.
As a UX Designer, you have an opportunity to think through the framing of problems with a focus on end-user needs and desires. Alongside the product team, you will identify, design, specify and implement end-to-end experiences for a wide range of products and services. Your workstream will be on the Portal, the partner-facing product, where the team partners manage their business. You will be a key contributor to creating delightful experiences for partners who are managing their performance, running reports, and optimizing their business.
General Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of visual and interaction design foundations and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps and prototypes
- Explore design solutions and directions based on customer needs, wants, and problems
- Collaborate closely with other experience designers, content designers and researchers to deliver explorations and solutions.
- Demonstrate facilitation skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional partners
- Use our design system, components and patterns effectively and appropriately with guidance
- Create routine, informative communication material explaining decision-making rationale to team members
- Help gather and interpret diverse qualitative and quantitative inputs
- Assist with defining success metrics for solving a design problem
- Contribute to idea generation in team settings
- Collect, process and act on design feedback constructively
Problem Definition and Product Strategy:
- You will build a solid toolkit of methods for facilitating the gathering and synthesizing of diverse insights in ambiguous problem spaces
- You will influence strategy for a project or product area by articulating a coherent UX vision based on clear, actionable problem/opportunity statements
- You will define customer experience success metrics for a project or product area
Ideation and Visualization:
- You will explore diverse, novel perspectives and design directions by default, and evaluate concepts using appropriate methods to determine the strongest proposal to present to the wider team
- You will confidently facilitate idea generation with stakeholders
- You will demonstrate mastery of common visual and interaction design principles and practice, and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps, and prototypes with minimal guidance
Communication and Presentation:
- You will consistently create clear and compelling materials and narratives explaining design rationale to team and stakeholders using customer, business, or competitive insights
- You will seek diverse feedback on design work and anticipate feedback to address it proactively. Customer Centricity
- You will apply and adapt design and research processes to fit the needs of the project
- You will develop empathy and insights about customers based on data and insights from research and other customer data sources
- You will clearly communicate customer-centric goals when presenting work
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience; Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience or related Design field or relevant experience is applicable with at least 5 years related professional experience
- Strong appreciation for human-centered design and outstanding customer experiences, and a proven track record of collaboration with creative partners
- History of developing cohesive, compelling strategic visions for experience, product, and service challenges
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $72-77 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
