UX Template Designer

Overview

**This is a HYBRID role located in Toronto, ON.  We are seeking candidates who are authorized to work in Canada and located within commuting distance of Toronto. Remote candidates will not meet role requirements**

We are seeking a UX Template Designer for our large, well-known client. In this Consultant role, you will ensure customer-centricity and ‘best-in-class’ digital experiences by defining and maintaining digital experience design systems across various brands.

The UX Template Designer will design and create user-centric E-commerce templates that enhance the user experience across various digital platforms.

This cross-functional role intersects and collaborates with E-commerce Products and Merchandisers, UX products, and Design Systems teams.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the templates comply and align with governing, accessibility regulations, brand guidelines, usability standards, and best practices.

What You Will Do:

• Develop intuitive and visually appealing eCommerce UX templates for websites, applications, and other digital platforms.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional templates.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to illustrate design ideas and user interactions.
• Conduct usability testing and understand data with the help of the UX Research team to gather feedback to iterate and improve template designs.
• Maintain the UX eCommerce template website and refresh brand assets and style guides.
• Monitor UX eCommerce template adoption, consistency, efficiency, and compliance.

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of experience creating exceptional digital experiences at a digital agency or an eCommerce company.
• Previous Design System/Template design management experience
• Experience collaborating with UX & UI Designers, Researchers, Data Analysts, and Copywriters to build ‘best-in-class’ digital experiences.
• A portfolio showcasing previous UX template design projects is required
• Must be self-motivated and driven to deliver quality, focus, and vision towards customer-centric digital experiences.
• Expert working knowledge of Figma and Creative Suite and strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and oral communication and collaboration.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent work experience
