As a pivotal individual contributor, you will be instrumental in bringing innovative designs to life, transforming concepts into perfectly fitting products that resonate with a vast audience. What You’ll Do:
- Drive the entire technical design process, from initial development stages through to final fit approval, ensuring seamless execution.
- Conduct meticulous analysis and evaluation of garments to establish precise fit specifications that align with design vision and brand standards.
- Uphold unwavering product quality, ensuring all items meet established fit standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
- Develop comprehensive technical specifications and serve as the primary communicator of fit requirements to vendors and factories, guiding them through approval and correction cycles.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing partners to implement necessary adjustments, safeguarding the integrity of approved prototypes while diligently monitoring quality and targeted pricing.
- Mentor and guide Assistant or Associate Technical Designers, fostering their growth and contributing to the team’s collective excellence.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in technical design, with a strong background in apparel, including intimates.
- Demonstrated expertise in garment analysis, fit development, and technical specification creation.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical requirements to diverse manufacturing partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure product integrity and quality.
