Principal AI Product Manager

Overview

This is a hyrbid position based in Redmond, WA. It will start as an 8 month engagement with a possible extension to 18 months.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will define and execute the AI product strategy for technology that contributes to the Elevate initiative, with a focus on Nonprofit Customers. You will partner closely with sales and business operations to drive technology solutions for registration, eligibility, fraud detection, customer support, and offer signups.

About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in applying project management methodologies across the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to performance reporting. You will be instrumental in identifying how machine learning and artificial intelligence can solve complex challenges, particularly within internal operations and digital systems that support critical initiatives for our nonprofit and educational partners. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing product recommendations, streamlining registration processes, and improving support connections, ensuring our partners can focus on their core missions.

What You’ll Do

• Define and articulate a clear product strategy in close collaboration with business owners and engineering teams.
• Translate strategic vision into detailed product features and specifications, guiding developers to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.
• Forge strong partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups and organizational boundaries to foster alignment and ensure project success.
• Drive the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, developing robust rollout plans and procedures for new features and products.
• Champion the utilization of best-in-class systems development and project management processes.
• Present compelling updates and strategic insights to steering committees and project sponsors, influencing key decisions.
• Oversee product design, scope management, cost control, and quality and performance reporting for AI-driven solutions.
• Strategically determine and implement how machine learning and artificial intelligence can address specific business problems.

Must-Have Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of proven product management experience, including a strong background in feature writing and product strategy development.
• Exceptional stakeholder collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of driving alignment.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in exercising judgment within dynamic environments and managing competing priorities effectively.
• A proven ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and collaborate seamlessly with business partners at all organizational levels.
• Strong aptitude for assessing risk and applying sound management principles to technology applications, products, and business functions.
• Extensive experience delivering technology and business application solutions within large-scale, multi-platform systems environments.
• Ability to design and implement sophisticated AI-driven automation solutions.
• A deep understanding of cloud services and API integration.
