You will be the welcoming face of the clinic, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every patient. Partnering with Aquent, you’ll be at the forefront of patient care, playing a crucial role in coordinating their journey and supporting the clinic’s administrative needs.
As a Patient Administrative Specialist, you will be essential to the smooth operation of the clinic. You will be responsible for:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients, answering initial questions regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
  • Managing a multi-line phone system, screening and routing calls, and taking messages for clinic staff and physicians.
  • Verifying insurance authorizations and completing necessary paperwork before patients see their provider.
  • Communicating with providers regarding scheduling preferences and urgent patient needs.
  • Supporting doctors and patients by providing information and resources.
  • Maintaining information databases, processing internal forms, and performing other administrative tasks.
  • Utilizing the telephone system and electronic medical records systems effectively.
  • Meeting and exceeding organizational and departmental service standards.
  • Responding to non-clinical patient messages and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Managing and distributing faxes and mail, and filing clinic documentation.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software used in a clinical setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Windows-based office software and operating systems
  • Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.06 to $38.96 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
