Responsibilities:
- Craft, edit, and review diverse content, from creative copy to AI model prompts.
- Analyze data and create insightful reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Critically apply guidelines to review content at scale, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Annotate and evaluate qualitative data related to the conversationality of AI models.
- Identify and address conversational quality issues in models through various prompting techniques.
- Develop and test system prompts using natural language to optimize model performance.
- Collaborate with content and product teams to enhance user experience.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in journalism, digital content strategy, production, or related fields.
- Extensive experience in prompt engineering, annotation, and utilizing AI tools.
- Proven critical thinking skills and exceptional editorial judgment regarding nuanced topics (politics, bias, gender, religion, etc.) to ensure quality control of large datasets.
- Familiarity with AP Style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Google Sheets, MS Excel) and/or other data analysis tools.
- Ability to perform basic data analysis and visualization.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the social media landscape.
- Storytelling experience.
- Experience creating and publishing multimedia content (text, audio, video).
- Background in visual experience (photo editing, video production) or creative writing.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50.85 to $56.50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
