As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the prescription fulfillment process. You will be responsible for accurately preparing medications, resolving prescription exceptions, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, physicians, and insurance providers. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to patient care will be essential to the success of the pharmacy operation.
What You’ll Do:
- Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and contacting patients and physicians.
- Accurately enter patient demographics and prescription information into the system.
- Investigate and resolve insurance billing issues and escalated patient concerns.
- Consult with a Pharmacist for clarification on prescriptions or processing questions.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing patient or physician calls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must-Haves:
- High School diploma.
- 2-4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state.
- Basic computer skills.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.37 to $18.19 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
