To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis.  C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this role
  • Have a current Pharmacy Technician license for the State of Illinois.  The license must not expire for at least 6 months from the start date of this position.

You’ll play a crucial role in our fulfillment system, directly impacting the speed and precision with which prescriptions are processed and delivered. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our patients receive the right medications at the right time, every time.

**What You’ll Do:**

* Process and resolve prescription exceptions, including claim rejections and patient/physician outreach.
* Accurately enter patient demographics and prescription information into our data processing system.
* Investigate and resolve complex insurance billing issues, ensuring smooth claim processing.
* Collaborate with Pharmacists, escalating questions for clinical interpretation and processing guidance.
* Provide excellent service through inbound and outbound patient and physician communications.
* Manage the full prescription fulfillment cycle: running automated machinery, sorting medications, and maintaining quality control throughout the workflow.
* Perform essential tasks such as counting, filling, labeling, packing, and shipping medications.
* Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including basic maintenance of machinery.
* Resolve insurance claim rejections by gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting claims.
* Support Pharmacists both within the facility and at other locations, contributing to seamless operations.
* Identify and communicate operational issues to senior staff for prompt resolution.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* High School Diploma or GED.
* Current Pharmacy Technician certification or registration as required by the state Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification agency.
* 0-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
* Basic computer proficiency, including starting/shutting down systems, using a mouse, managing programs, saving files, and printing documents.
* Basic internet search engine skills, including navigating browsers, using search functions, and completing online forms.
* Intermediate keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, touch typing).
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, consistently meeting quality and productivity standards.
* Advanced keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, touch typing).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.00 to $19.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
