As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of financial technology. You’ll work closely with architects, development leads, and business partners to design and implement resilient systems. Your expertise in automation, instrumentation, and proactive monitoring will be essential to ensuring the stability and performance of critical trading applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend your technical skills with a strategic mindset, driving improvements in application reliability and availability.
 

Please note, only candidates who are within commuting distance to either the client’s Dallas or Westlake, TX campus will be considered. This position is a full-time, onsite role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the Site Reliability Engineering mindset, focusing on automation, instrumentation, and streamlined solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system designs prioritize resilience.
  • Identify and implement solutions to enhance application reliability and availability.
  • Provide production support, manage application deployments, and ensure rapid response for critical trading applications.
  • Proactively monitor systems, analyze SLO/SLI metrics, and maintain runbooks.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve system monitoring and observability at scale.
  • Guide development teams on system health upgrades and toil reduction strategies.
  • Uphold and promote Reliability Engineering principles, guidelines, and standards.
  • Cultivate a culture of learning by sharing knowledge and expertise in reliability practices, processes, and tools.
  • Participate in on-call escalations during market hours and off-hours.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise system administration, application support, or incident handling in an SRE role.
  • 6+ years of experience in RHEL Linux or Windows server administration.
  • Proven track record of supporting enterprise production environments using DevOps and SRE frameworks.
  • 6+ years of experience building application dashboards for proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • 6+ years of experience with logging/application monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Thousand Eyes).
  • 4+ years of experience supporting applications on cloud platforms such as GCP and PCF.
  • 4+ years of experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience building dashboards with Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Anthos and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding and experience with PaaS and IaaS, specifically PCF.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of high-availability enterprise systems and tools for automated availability solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $63.00 to $70.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
