In this role, you’ll be directly involved in setting up new production areas, optimizing processes, and ensuring the smooth transition of products from assembly to packaging. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be a vital part of the production team, working hands-on to assemble and test products. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This is your opportunity to make a tangible difference in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up new production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment.
- Facilitate the transition of products from production to packaging.
- Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical components according to established procedures, engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects focused on safety.
- Perform routine maintenance, including daily clean-up of work areas.
- Contribute to other tasks as assigned to support overall organizational success.
Must-Haves:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to interpret specifications, work instructions, and test procedures.
- Basic math and computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 44 lbs.
- Flexibility to work off-shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Industry certification, trade school training, or a related degree.
- Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $22.50 to $25 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
