Senior Full Stack Engineer

Onsite in either Atlanta, GA or Sausalito, CA

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our client’s codebase, working closely with our technology team, project management, and end-users to identify needs and enhance efficiency. It is ideally suited for a true full stack developer who thrives on creating delightful user experiences and impactful backend functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and evolution of the our client’s platform:

• End-to-End Feature Ownership: Fully own feature development from concept to deployment, encompassing robust web-based user interfaces, microservice capabilities, and relational database structures.

• Microservices Ecosystem Design & Development: Design and develop critical components of our microservices ecosystem, specifically those providing functionality for equity portfolio construction tools for direct indexing.

• Web-Based UI Development: Build highly robust, maintainable, and user-friendly web interfaces that consistently deliver a delightful user experience.

• Software Release & Deployment: Support the building and releasing of software components, including deployment to Kubernetes (k8s) clusters.

• Platform Modernization: Drive continuous improvements to our enterprise fintech platform through the modernization of existing components and the strategic adoption of contemporary technologies and enterprise third-party solutions.

• Code Quality & Collaboration: Write clean, easily understood, and maintainable code that fosters seamless collaboration among team members.

• Technical Leadership: Take a lead role on projects and initiatives, guiding technical direction and execution.

• Mentorship & Growth: Mentor and actively contribute to the professional growth of junior members within the team.

• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the technologies we utilize.

• Recruitment Participation: Actively participate in recruitment efforts to attract and retain top engineering talent.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Microservices Mastery: Demonstrated ability to fully own microservices efforts, from interface definition and front-end/back-end coding to handover for deployment in Kubernetes (k8s) clusters.

• Equity Portfolio Construction Experience: Proven experience in designing parts of a microservices ecosystem that delivers functionality for equity portfolio construction tools for direct indexing.

• Enterprise Platform Modernization: A strong track record of providing consistent improvements to enterprise fintech platforms through modernization of components and strategic choice of contemporary technologies and enterprise third-party components.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar Senior Full Stack Engineer role.

• Web Development Expertise: Advanced knowledge of web development, with a deep understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem.

• Front-End Acumen: Strong understanding of web front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue), application architecture, and integration patterns within broader software ecosystems.

• Programming Fundamentals: Solid grasp of programming fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and paradigms.

• Cloud Experience: Experience in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem.

• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with various business departments.

• Adaptability: Ability to thrive and work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Backend Proficiency: Seasoned Python background or related experience with modern object-oriented languages (Java, Scala, etc.).

• Leadership Experience: Experience leading projects and teams.

• Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to keeping up to date with developments in technologies and continuously improving CI/CD practices.

• Talent Advocate: Passion for actively participating in recruitment efforts.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $180k to $195k. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
