As an Interaction Designer at a leading financial institution partnered with Aquent, you’ll shape the digital experiences for millions of users, contributing to a company that prioritizes customer experience and digital innovation. Be a key player in a dynamic design team, collaborating with cross-functional partners to craft user-centered designs from concept to implementation. Your expertise will influence design strategy, drive inclusivity, and ensure seamless user journeys across digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop interaction design strategies based on user behavior and interface patterns.
  • Utilize visualizations and interactions to support data analysis.
  • Lead design critiques, provide expert guidance, and promote inclusive design practices.
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and collaborative design activities.
  • Create low and high-fidelity prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate design solutions.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive audits.
  • Present design work to stakeholders and advocate for user-centered design principles.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple platforms.
  • Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
  • Proven ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, including benefits and risks.
  • Expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of research methods and their application during product development.
  • Appreciation for design thinking principles.
  • Experience working within a large organization and an agile environment.
