Make a significant impact as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at a Fortune 500 financial services company partnering with Aquent. Drive quality and innovation by developing and maintaining automation test cases and frameworks for high-volume, low-latency web and desktop applications. Collaborate with a team of experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions, enhance SDLC processes, and contribute to the success of a leading financial institution.
As an integral part of the team, you will:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automation test cases and scenarios for web and desktop applications.
  • Design test automation frameworks for web services, APIs, and web-based applications.
  • Ensure continuous automation execution, analysis, documentation, and failure reporting.
  • Collaborate with scrum team members to build automation solutions.
  • Design data persistence using SQL, MongoDB, or other database management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance testing strategies and methods.
  • Mentor junior SDETs and promote automation best practices through code reviews.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in automated test script development, execution, and maintenance
  • Prior technical lead experience (mentoring, code review, design support)
  • Hands-on coding experience in Ruby, Java, C#, or another object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience with Agile Development Practices
  • Understanding of exploratory testing practices
  • Knowledge of industry-standard bug logging and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ)
  • Hands-on experience with web services virtualization
  • Ability to perform code reviews
  • Experience with scoping, sizing, and overseeing multiple projects, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects and releases
  • Experience leading/training in a large QA organization with a risk-based testing approach
  • Experience driving innovative testing solutions within a complex enterprise platform

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile/Lean development and testing practices (ATDD, TDD, CI/CD)
  • Experience with web service virtualization, data virtualization, and test data management
  • Experience with browser automation testing tools (Sauce Labs, Selenium, Protractor, CodedUI)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server or document-oriented databases (MongoDB)
  • Advanced hands-on software development experience and experience with leading automation framework development (6-10 years)
  • Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Puppet)
  • Acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) using Gherkin language (Cucumber, JBehave, SpecFlow)
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and lean methodologies
  • Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, and Git

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $62.10 to $69.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
