Bilingual Proofreader English and French

Our well known Canada based agency client is looking for a remote, part time, ad-hoc bilingual Proofreader to support their team!

Start = ASAP

Duration = 3-4 months

This is a fully remote position and laptop will be provided

Part-time hours will vary from week to week anywhere from 5-35 hours per week:

We’re looking for someone who is available on an ad hoc basis to help cover vacations and overflow over the next 3-4 months, effective immediately. Hours/week would vary – anywhere from 5-35/week (with full understanding that we will also need to work around this person’s schedule and other clients).

Job description details include:

• Experience with both print and digital projects a must (ie. Websites, banner ads, emails, brochures)

• Cold read copy decks to check spelling, grammar, and adherence to brand style guides.

• Ensure French translation accurately reflects the meaning and intent of the English source copy.

• Verify that copy in layouts accurately reflects the approved copy decks (English and French).

• Review revised materials to ensure all markups were correctly implemented in both copy and design files.

Requirements:

• Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and consistency.

• Proven proofreading and copy-editing experience, preferably in an agency setting.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects across clients and formats (digital, print).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Pharmaceutical/healthcare agency experience and familiarity with PAAB is an asset.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is C$36 to C$40 an hour.Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
