In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining database management systems, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the overall success of the company’s data infrastructure. What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and implement database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance processes for database deliverables.
- Document and communicate database designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate, install, and maintain database management systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Develop complex programs and derive logical processes on various technical platforms.
- Design user interfaces, build windows, screens, and reports to enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and develop test application code in a client-server environment.
- Provide expertise in defining, negotiating, and defending the tables and fields within the database structure.
- Adapt business requirements and develop data and database specifications, including table and element attributes.
- Determine the suitability of data for storage and optimize storage organization for efficiency and scalability.
- Define relationships between tables and how fields interact within a relational model.
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in a data engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Extensive experience with Databricks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in supply chain management.
- Databricks certification.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $63.603 to $70.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
