Overview

Elevate the performance and style of athletic footwear as a Footwear Designer with a leading global sports brand, partnered with Aquent. You’ll be a key player in a dynamic team, shaping the future of athletic footwear and driving innovation in the industry. Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and other creatives to bring cutting-edge designs from concept to reality.

As a Footwear Designer, you will craft innovative footwear solutions that meet the evolving needs of athletes. You’ll be immersed in a collaborative environment, working alongside experts in development, engineering, marketing, and testing to ensure seamless integration from design to market. Responsibilities:

• Design innovative footwear that blends performance and style.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to market.
• Participate in design reviews, presenting your work and incorporating feedback.
• Contribute to the evolution of athletic footwear through innovative design solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in footwear design, specifically in performance or athletic footwear.
• Proven ability to revise designs based on feedback from athletes, testers, and product managers.
• Expertise in creating technical drawings and understanding factory design processes.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Experience with presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience designing women’s athletic footwear.
• Advanced technical design expertise in footwear.
• Strong individual design perspective and style.
• Cobbling and prototyping skills.
• Experience with 3D design programs.
• Knowledge of sustainable design and manufacturing principles.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $51.00 to $56.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
