Our Seattle based architecture, engineering, and construction client is looking to start an onsite, contract w2,  Proposal Marketing Manager ASAP:

 

3 month assignment

Starting ASAP, early May

Working onsite 5 days per week in their South Lake Union, Seattle office

 

Summary:

The Proposal Marketing Manager serves as liaison working with internal and external clients to research,plan, coordinate, manage and develop the content necessary to tell the company story with authenticity, creativity and integrity.

 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting company-wide marketing and business development efforts, primarily in the pursuit of new work through the submission of requests for qualifications, proposals, design-build submittals and interview efforts. This individual also creates internal and external communications, develops project- or department-specific collateral, and assists with special events and outreach activities.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

•Business development:

a. Lead efforts to respond to proposals and interviews by attending pre-bid, project

walk-through, and proposal kick-off meetings; scheduling all key dates and project

team meetings; participating in and often leading strategy and messaging

discussions.

b. Develop written content in alignment with team-developed strategy and messaging.

c. Prepare layout of all content using templates and design standards; coordinating or

producing any key graphic components; and producing and delivering all final

product.

d. Support and often leads interview and presentation development efforts, including

participating in interview strategy sessions; coordinating meetings; and developing

all written and graphic content for presentations and leave-behinds.

e. Work with marketing support staff on pursuits, often helping with training and

implementation of best practices across the marketing department.

 

•Communications:

a. Collaborate with technical and marketing staff to research, write, and develop

authentic and compelling stories around the company, key personnel, and our

projects, ensuring that information is communicated clearly, accurately, and in a

visually appealing manner and in alignment with the company’s overall brand and

messaging guidelines.

b. Create strategic, dynamic content that aligns with the company’s vision and brand

for internal and external communication vehicles, which may include social media,

website, intranet, videos, email bulletins, newsletters, external emails, magazines,

white papers and reports.

c. Regular outreach with project teams to learn about project challenges and best

practices, key project dates, and identify areas for marketing assistance and public

relations opportunities.

d. Act as an interdepartmental contact for specific departments. Field requests

from these departments and delegate tasks as needed.

e. Assist with communications and management for special events and outreach

activities as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field)

or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• 5+ years of comparable experience in a marketing or communications role in A/E/C or B2B

professional services field.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

• Demonstrated experience leading successful project pursuits.

• Knowledge of graphic design and layout.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Developed talent for translating highly technical information into clear and concise written

communications, and for producing multi-page documents that are thoughtful, organized,

and easy to read.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $68 to $73 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
