Project Manager, Packaging

Overview

The Project Manager, packaging is responsible for leading the project management, development and execution of package design across the CPG portfolio of brands. 

This role demands excellent communication skills, and requires ongoing collaboration with many internal teams, including Brand Marketing, Innovation, R&D, Insights and Production. 

 
The Asst Manager, Design will have strong project management and organizational skills, including timeline and budget management. They will be the team’s hands on expert for maintaining project management workflow tools and providing regular project tracking and reporting.

 
They will also support creative activities that include new item packaging design, adaptive line extensions and packaging redesign rollout. Uses a blend of project management, business acumen and design management skills to successfully lead and support packaging initiatives across multiple JMS brands. The Asst Manager Design will be responsible for reviewing assets for quality assurance, approving color targets, assist in maintaining the product shelf library and coordinating physical mockups for design reviews.   

Location: Northeast Ohio preferred, hybrid or remote considered

In this role you will:

Lead large volume projects with strong project management skills and clear communication
Collaborate with Design, Brand and Innovation teams to ensure final project outputs are meeting the design and business objectives 
Maintain project management tools for Design team, delivering regular tracking and reporting
Work closely with Design and Production team to ensure design intent is carried through to execution through quality assurance reviews of color proofs and render bundles
Assist in creating product mockups for design reviews and maintaining store lab product shelf library and fielding ad-hoc image and mockup requests for the team
 

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

3-5 years of Project Management experience, (Creative PM experience a plus)
Experience in CPG project management 
PC and MAC proficient with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $42.57 to $47.3 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
