Partnering with Aquent, you’ll be at the forefront of patient experience, providing compassionate support and guidance. As a Customer Navigator, you will be an integral part of the patient care team. You’ll be the go-to person for patients and their families, providing a seamless and supportive experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend your customer service expertise with a passion for healthcare, making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, both on-site and over the phone.
- Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors, helping them navigate the hospital and clinics.
- Offer support with appointment scheduling, wayfinding, and access to various services.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Provide clear and concise instructions, ensuring patients understand procedures and next steps.
- Act as a liaison between patients and other departments, facilitating communication and problem-solving.
- Offer emotional support and practical assistance to patients and families during challenging times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all patient interactions.
- Assist with transportation and provide information on local resources as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years’ experience working in a healthcare setting (hospital, medical/dental office, nursing facilities, etc.) OR completion of a navigation certification program OR 2+ years’ experience in customer service within a non-healthcare industry (hospitality, public relations, banking, concierge services, etc.).
- Basic PC skills (Windows, Excel, and Word).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Cross-cultural competency.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of EPIC or other patient databases.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, conflict resolution, professional boundaries, and linking patients to diagnostic and follow-up tests/treatment.
- Strong medical terminology knowledge.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $22.67 to $25.19 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
