Our leadiing credit union client is looking for a passionate and skilled Conversation Designer to shape the way users interact with their products and services. You’ll be at the forefront of creating intuitive and engaging conversational experiences across various platforms, including chatbots and IVR systems. If you have a knack for crafting natural-sounding dialogue, a deep understanding of user needs, and a drive to continuously improve through data and insights, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Design End-to-End Conversations: You’ll architect seamless and effective conversation flows for chatbots, IVR, and other conversational interfaces, ensuring a positive user journey from start to finish.
- Craft Compelling Conversational Content: You’ll write clear, concise, and on-brand conversational content that resonates with our users and effectively addresses their needs.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define conversation strategies, ensuring alignment with product goals and technical feasibility.
- Iterate and Optimize: You’ll leverage data analytics, user research findings, and A/B testing to continuously refine and enhance the performance and user satisfaction of our conversational experiences.
- Define AI/NLU Logic: You’ll be responsible for defining intents, example utterances, and appropriate response logic to power our AI and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) systems.
- Champion Best Practices: You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of conversation design guidelines and best practices, ensuring consistency and high quality across all conversational touchpoints.
- Advocate for the User: You’ll be a strong voice for our users, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity are embedded in our language and conversational design principles.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in conversation design for chat, voice, or multimodal interfaces.
- Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing your conversational design work and demonstrating your ability to create effective and user-friendly experiences.
- Writing Prowess: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen ability to craft natural, engaging, and brand-aligned conversational language.
- Design Thinking Mindset: A solid understanding of design thinking methodologies, user experience (UX) principles, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Conversational AI Familiarity: Experience working with conversational AI platforms such as Dialogflow, Rasa, IBM Watson Assistant, Voiceflow, or similar technologies.
- Adaptability and Collaboration: Comfort navigating ambiguity and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and the ability to derive actionable insights from conversational data.
- Experience designing conversations for specific industries or use cases.
- Knowledge of interaction design principles and prototyping tools.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70.65 to $80.65 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
