About the Role:
As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing performance results, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending optimizations. You will collaborate with development teams to design and implement comprehensive performance tests, ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical applications. Your expertise will be essential in shaping performance engineering processes and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze performance results to identify bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.
  • Participate in discussions and planning with development teams.
  • Design and implement overhead, scalability, stability, and stress tests.
  • Develop performance engineering processes, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead efforts to implement performance engineering best practices.
  • Perform early performance assessments and validation of applications.
  • Build or configure tools to conduct performance tests.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues on various server subsystems and operating systems.
  • Design and develop automated performance, stability, scalability, and reliability tests.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in performance testing and monitoring tools (e.g., JMeter/Blazemeter, Splunk, AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes).
  • Strong understanding of large systems development with a focus on performance.
  • Expertise in identifying and resolving performance issues on various server subsystems (CPU, Memory, Threads, I/O, etc.) and operating systems counters.
  • Proven ability to design and develop automated performance tests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with test data setup tools (e.g., K2View).
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, databases, and programming languages (both procedural and object-oriented).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $57.60 to $64.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
