Software Developer

Overview

Responsibilities:

• Interpret written requirements and technical specifications to develop software solutions addressing business problems.
• Design and develop software in alignment with technical specifications.
• Investigate software issues reported by clients, conducting thorough analyses and documenting the outcomes.
• Maintain software applications, identifying and correcting defects found during the maintenance phase.
• Execute unit testing on newly developed software, implement comprehensive test plans and test harnesses, and document the test outcomes.
• Proactively investigate and recommend solutions for defects and issues identified during software testing phases.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• At least 8 years of real-world experience in full-stack software development, covering both front-end and back-end.
• Proficient in software design patterns, S.O.L.I.D. principles, and the Twelve-Factor app methodology.
• Advanced understanding of RESTful architectures, HTTP methods, status codes, and best practices.
• Skilled in using SQL Server, T-SQL, and ORM tools like Spring Data JPA.
• Experienced with testing frameworks such as Mockito, and proficient in writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests.
• Familiar with git-based source control systems (e.g., GitHub), continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Bamboo, GitHub Actions), and monitoring tools.
• Well-versed in Agile and Scrum methodologies, adept in planning, implementation, support of business application components, including change and release management.

This position requires an individual who is not only technically proficient but also adaptable and effective in communication, ensuring seamless teamwork and project alignment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $62.10 to $69 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
