Our major tech client is looking for a Senior UX Designer that enjoys building the design system that is utilized by designers and developers around the world. The perfect candidate loves thinking about how the design framework and component work across different use cases (different screen sizes, languages, countries, etc). In this role, you will collaborating with design and engineering teams with different business objectives and identifying the solution that can scale.
Responsibilities:
- Define and evolve the design system
- Build libraries for design tools (Figma, etc.) and contribute to design component documentation
- Partner with teams across the company to identify and deliver compelling ways to bring design consistency across the site
- Consider market analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings to inform design rationale
- Create design specifications for engineering partners
- Working with Design systems team:
- Creating and defining shared components that product designers will use
- What does button, typography, form look like and how does it work
- User interface and action design/screen design
- Fixing buttons and form control for user experience
- Design legos that others use in models
- Work with 2 FT designers, PM, research team, individual design team
- High bar for documentation and specifications, provide high-level details of components as a self-service resource
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software application.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
- May consider advanced degree with strong industry experience
- Fluency in best practices for web and app information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Proficiency in a variety of design tools, with mastery of Figma as a hard requirement.
- A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions is required (please include password as needed).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
- Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
- Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or After Effects, understanding nice to have
- Experience working on design systems
- Heavily prefer candidates with design system experience
Top 3 Skills:
- Professional experience of Figma as primary design tool
- 7+ years of UI design and IXD Interaction design
- 7+ years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $72 to $80 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
