Reports to: VP, Media Relations
Position Summary:
The Media Relations Manager will play a critical role in supporting diverse clients by developing and executing marketing strategies to secure both earned and paid media opportunities. Reporting to the VP of Media Relations, this role involves creating compelling PR content, nurturing relationships with media and publishers, coordinating interviews, and ensuring successful media coverage. Additionally, the Media Relations Manager will oversee media initiatives, monitor coverage, and present reports summarizing results.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with account teams and clients to develop and manage public relations campaigns and media programs.

Research, write, and distribute press releases.

Build, maintain, and update PR contact lists, distribution lists, and media databases.

Cultivate and manage relationships with key media outlets and journalists to maximize coverage opportunities.

Monitor and report on both paid and earned media, compiling detailed reports to share insights and successes with clients.

Support and execute PR activities, including trade show participation and event planning.

Stay informed on media trends and industry developments to enhance PR strategies.

Strong understanding of marketing, including internal and external communication strategies and tactical execution.
Required Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum of three years of agency experience in media relations or public relations.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
