We are looking for an Apparel Product Designer who will be working on Product design Briefs to create apparel solutions and development of tech packs for the design partners and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • On key financial and statement models, uses exceptional design skills to create original, innovative concepts and designs that appropriately client’s designs and applications.
  • Works primarily autonomously on designs.
  • Creates cohesive collections.
  • Executes all product details including construction detail, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, trim, etc.
  • Communicate changes to ensure timely completion of each project.
  • Effectively uses design support.
  • Maintains healthy cross-functional relationships and builds matrix relationships outside of the immediate team.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and proactively enhances business acumen.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Shares process and product finishing expertise across categories and design functions and influences others to evolve creative skills.
  • Leads design product processes for assigned category or product group; ensures the feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs, and product creation timelines. May have cross-divisional opportunities.
  • Demonstrates expert understanding of products, product lines, product development process, and the specific markets in which Nike does business.
  • Storytelling around a concept or Athlete that influences the overall seasonal direction.
  • Demonstrates leadership that influences process change. (Best practices, Calendar, Manufacturing process)
  • Assumes a lead role in communicating and presenting creative strategies, product concepts, and consumer insights to internal & external audiences.
  • Continuously advances product, process, and design skills reflective of an expert design professional.
  • Stays abreast of industry and technology development within the product design profession.
  • Consumer Research: Client, Consumer & Athleterelations (understanding & collaboration in a business context)
  • Strategic Thinking / Visioning: understands product relevance, positioning, timing, and collections.
  • Presentation & Communication: Clear, Concise, and Thoughtful (verbal, written, visual, listening)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $44.39 to $49.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
