A top retailer seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Manager of UX Design to join the team on a full-time basis! You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of designers to articulate the strategy and design for products and experiences at the front end of stores. You will help shape the digital and physical experiences by starting with human-centered design. This work will allow you to innovate and directly impact the millions of customers and associates the retailer serves every day. MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS.
What You’ll Do

Design at the highest level of craft for a broad population of the retailer’s customers.

Facilitate creative problem-solving across cross-functional partners to drive best-in-class thinking from all parts of the organization and seamlessly integrate competitive organizational goals.

Proactively solicit, leverage, and share design research, competitive research, data, and analytics to create full-featured and strategic products.

Own and drive a program of work and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional partners.

Recruit the best design talent and mentor the growing team.

Think holistically to build true end-to-end experiences.
We’re looking for someone who has:

Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a keen understanding of trends in the marketplace – in and out of retail.

A demonstrated track record working cross-functionally in shipping successful physical environments and services at scale.

Ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences of all levels of understanding and levels of seniority.

A demonstrable understanding of retail and deep experience building experiences that drive revenue.

A strong design aesthetic that brings together brand expressions and systems thinking. You practice universal design and believe in inclusion.

Deep expertise in the built environment and how people move through space and make decisions.

Deep experience with business requirement gathering, end-to-journey mapping, facilitating sessions like Design Sprints, conducting competitive analysis, and leading rapid concepting and prototyping.
Qualifications:
- Willing to relocate to Bentonville, AR and work onsite 5 days/week.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Architecture, Digital Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product design.
- 2+ years of managing a design team.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing elegant and user-centric design solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and inclusivity.
