Technical Writer / Security Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Writer to join our content development team. The ideal candidate will be adept at producing high-quality, engaging, and informative content tailored to a diverse audience, ranging from system administrators to casual end users. With a strong background in IT and workplace computing, particularly in computer security, the candidate will enhance our communication strategies and help us disseminate crucial information about our products and the state of cybersecurity globally.

Responsibilities:

Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, white papers, annual reports, tutorials, and release notes.
Collaborate with technical teams to produce content that explains complex information clearly and concisely.
Manage content projects from conception to delivery, ensuring adherence to deadlines and brand guidelines.
Enhance content with graphic design, data visualizations, and other multimedia elements.
Stay updated on the latest industry developments and adjust content to reflect the most current information.
Lead initiatives for the continuous improvement of documentation processes and practices.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Technical Writer in IT, with a strong focus on computer security.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
Experience in graphic design, data visualization, and document production.
Proficiency in multiple programming and markup languages.
Past leadership in producing highly-regarded security reports, such as those for Microsoft Security Intelligence or Trustwave Global Security.
