Our well known international non-profit client is looking to bring on a remote, part time, Social Media Specialist ASAP:

 

Contract Details/Duration:

Approx. 12-16 hours a month through Oct. 2024. Workload may vary week to week.

 

Note: 

This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs.

 

Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled Social Media Contractor to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media content to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our website, and ultimately boost engagement and retention.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Create clean, engaging copy/captions and overall content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and LinkedIn.

2. Scheduling posts, and publishing content via Sprout Social.

3. Sharing and amplifying content from local nonprofits and posting natively to platforms.

4. Creating Canva graphics and/or short social videos, as needed

5. Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

 

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator, Specialist, Manager, or similar role.

2. Strong understanding of social media platforms, including their algorithms and best practices.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4. Experience working in Canva and creating static graphics, graphics with text animation, and/or working with short videos in Canva.

5. Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content.

6. Occasionally attend in-person events to capture content, create reels and/or static social content

7. Proficiency in social media scheduler tools like Sprout Social.

8. Ability to work independently and occasionally collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

9. Experience with or knowledge of nonprofits is helpful in this role.

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $33.85 to $35 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
