Mandarin to English Content Translator

Overview

Mandarin Translator:

We are currently seeking a talented Mandarin Translator to join our team on a part-time, remote basis.

This is a fully remote role.  (candidates may sit in any timezone)

This is a part time role of 20-30 hours per week.

Position Overview: 

As a Remote Part-Time Mandarin Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content from Mandarin to English. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the integrity and meaning of the original text while ensuring cultural nuances are appropriately conveyed.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Translate seller education and marketing resources such as guides, video scripts, emails, and other collateral, from Mandarin to English.

2. Ensure accuracy and consistency in translations, paying attention to grammar, syntax, and cultural context.

3. Collaborate with colleagues and clients to clarify ambiguities and ensure accurate interpretation of content.

4. Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to enhance translation quality.

5. Meet deadlines and manage workload effectively to deliver high-quality translations within specified timeframes.

6. Provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation processes and tools.

A PLUS if you have experience with Mandarin voiceover translations.

 

Requirements:

1. Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

2. Proven experience as a translator, with a strong portfolio of translated documents and projects.

3. Proficiency in translation software and tools is preferred.

4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translations.

5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

6. Cultural sensitivity and awareness to accurately convey nuances and context in translations.

7. Excellent research skills to stay updated on industry-specific terminology and language trends.

8. Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is a plus.

9. Availability to work part-time, approximately 20-30 hours per week, on a flexible schedule.

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $26.85 to $30 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
