This is remote overnight position (5pm – 2am PST). It will start as a 5 month engagement with the intent to extend up to 12 months.

About the Role
In this essential role, you will be a key player on a dedicated tools and infrastructure team, focused on supporting, troubleshooting, and continuously improving the build pipelines for complex software projects. You will ensure build stability, implement robust monitoring solutions, and drive data-backed enhancements that directly impact development velocity and product quality. This is an opportunity to leverage your CI/CD and automation skills to solve challenging problems and contribute to the success of widely recognized software experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Execute daily operational tasks to support CI/CD pipelines for large-scale software projects using industry-standard tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Perforce.
- Perform routine maintenance, including updating authentication tokens for various services.
- Triage and resolve issues for external partners, mitigating blocks to automation tasks.
- Monitor build systems and create proactive alerts based on observability data.
- Drive data-backed improvements by identifying areas for enhancement and recommending strategic changes.
- Analyze metrics, traces, and logs across CI/CD systems to inform decision-making.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses (RCA) and postmortems to prevent recurrence.
- Forecast and plan CI/CD capacity based on historical data and upcoming project needs.
- Design and implement scripts and other automation solutions to streamline operational workflows.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or CI/CD tools, including Jenkins.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and editing scripts for automation in medium to large-scale codebases, using languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing data solutions to measure and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using technologies like SQL or Azure data lake solutions.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing data and observability solutions to monitor KPIs for CI/CD infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Perforce source control system.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration and deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven ability to conduct root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Outstanding communication and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely within a team-oriented setting.
- Experience with work item tracking systems like Jira.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud environments.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or C#.
